We’re here to guide you through every step of the canvas process: printing, framing, and shipping. Below, you’ll find all the details you need to get started.
Canvas Printing
Canvas Papers
We offer two premium canvas paper options for printing:
- Breathing Color Motif Satin Canvas: A 65% cotton / 35% polyester blend with a subtle satin finish. Durable and refined, with just the right amount of sheen.
- Arista Matte Canvas: A 65% polyester / 35% cotton blend with a smooth matte finish. At 410 gsm and 17 mil thick, it’s archival, latex ink compatible, and perfect for fine art or photo reproductions.
Canvas Printers
We use an HP Latex 360 printer and HP 831A inks for a streak-free print that doesn’t require varnishing.
Canvas Edges (Print & Frame service only)
We offer three custom edge styles for your stretched canvas. Each edge is 2” in depth.
- White Sides - Clean white edges; your full image stays on the front.
- Wrapped Sides - Your image extends seamlessly around the edges for a seamless look (please note this will crop your image, to keep the whole image select, mirror sides)
- Mirror Sides - A mirrored extension of your image wraps around the sides. Ideal for a borderless appearance.
Canvas Framing
What framing options do you offer for stretched canvas?
Stretched canvases can be framed in our Canvas Float Collection. This collection features a narrow profile that makes your artwork pop. Printed or unstretched canvas is first stretched over wooden bars, then set inside the frame with a ¼” gap for a floated look.
Available only with our Print & Frame service, your canvas print will be stretched over 2” deep wooden bars, packaged, and shipped to you.
Can I mail in.......?
Stretched Canvas
If you’re mailing in a stretched canvas, please make sure the depth is ≤ the dimensions/frame below, otherwise the canvas will stick out beyond the frame edges.
- Canvas Float White and Black - fits stretcher bars ≤ ¾” deep
- Canvas Float Gold and Black - fits stretcher bars ≤ 1-⅛” deep
- Canvas Float Natural - fits stretcher bars ≤ 1-½” deep
Canvas Boards
For flat canvas boards, we recommend framing them in standard frames with a lip, no mat, hinge mount, and no acrylic. Example frame, here. Make sure to select “original art” as your art type instead of canvas.
Canvas Paper
If you have canvas paper, select “art print” as your art type and make sure to select a spacer to prevent the plexiglass from touching the painting. Example frame, here.
