We understand how important it is for your art to arrive safely at our shop. As such, we've included packing tips and instructions below. For irreplaceable, sentimental, or art that exceeds $1000 in value, we recommend using our Frame Only service.
Tips
- Tape Free- Any tape, even painter's tape, can damage your art. Keep tape and sticky surfaces away from your art. Please only use painter’s tape on cardboard inserts and glassine sleeves.
- Clean Hands – Help your art remain fingerprint free. Wash your hands and avoid touching art directly.
- Scratch-Free – Protect your art from any scratches with a protective surface. A plastic sleeve or a large piece of newsprint are great options.
- Sealed and Dry – Mailing a freshly painted canvas or pastel drawing? Please make sure all art mediums are entirely dry before mailing. For pastels or similarly sensitive art materials seal with an approved fixative.
- Snug Fit – Make sure your art is snug each step of the way. Keep art secure by sealing packing material tightly with painter's tape. Fill any extra space with bubble wrap, crumpled paper, plastic bags, etc.
- Don't Forget! Make sure to include a printed copy of the Order Form inside your tube, mailer, or box. This serves as your packing list and helps our team match the artwork with the order.
For additional packaging instructions, specific to your mail-in method see below.
