Is my artwork insured?
At checkout, you will be asked to declare the value of your artwork. By doing so, all Simply Framed shipments will be insured for this amount through our carrier, FedEx. This applies to artwork shipping to Simply Framed and final product shipping away from Simply Framed.
The cost of insurance will be added to your cart at checkout and be reflected in your overall total. The cost of insurance is based on your declared value–Simply Framed with cover artwork up to $100. After that, you will be charged 2% of the declared value.
We do not recommend shipping anything invaluable or anything you wouldn’t trust handing to FedEx. Instead, we recommend our Frame Only service.
What does it mean to insure my artwork?
If your artwork were to be damaged, lost, or stolen during transit, you would be eligible to receive a reimbursement for the declared value amount. Please note, reimbursements are only available if the claim is accepted by the carrier. If the claim is approved, the insurance you purchased at checkout will be reimbursed to you in the form of Simply Framed store credit.
What if my artwork is valued at over $1000?
For artwork valued at over $1000, we recommend our Frame Only service with Simply Framed Black Label.
Can I opt-out of insurance?
All packages will be insured for a minimum amount of $100. This amount is covered by Simply Framed on your behalf. If you do not wish to insure your artwork for a higher amount, please input only $100 for the declared value at checkout. By doing so, you will only be eligible for reimbursement totally $100, if your artwork were to be damaged, lost, or stolen during transit. Please note, reimbursements are only available if the claim is accepted by the carrier. If the claim is approved, the insurance you purchased at checkout will be reimbursed to you in the form of Simply Framed store credit.
